Black Hambourg grapes!

The First pickings of the Black Hambourg grapes is here again, it always seems to me like this is the beginning of autumn. Along with the beginning of the grouse shooting season, it feels like the sporting year is just about to start, meaning a change in menu for the restaurant and time for some of my favorite comfort food.

With plans of a future petting zoo near the Café, we’re in the process of incubating some quail eggs which will hopefully be hatched in the upcoming months.

Great ingredients can be found in the Farm Shop, we’re currently stocking Frozen Grouse from the moors of Yorkshire and our previously mentioned fresh Black Hambourg grapes from our 97 year old vine, planted by my Great Grandmother.
